A 54 year old South Jersey man was injured when he flipped his truck full of fill dirt on Millville Avenue in Hamilton Township Friday afternoon. Police say the truck was driven by Ronald Forsyth of Woodbury. The roadway was closed for three and a half hours until the mess was cleaned up.

New Jersey lawmakers have approved a new state budget, but it probably isn’t going anywhere. Governor Phil Murphy has promised to veto the budget because it does not include tax hikes that he wants. Murphy has criticized the budget, suggesting that it relies on gimmicks that were relied on by his predecessor, Chris Christie.

Jurors get back to work Thursday in the Josh Vadell shooting trial. Vadell is the former Atlantic City cop who was shot in the head during a crime in the city’s downtown shopping district back in 2016. Two Cumberland County men are charged with attempted murder and other offenses; Vadell survived the shooting.
The April Kauffman murder case will be featured on ABC’s “20/20” program Friday evening. Kauffman was the Atlantic County woman who was killed by a hired hitman with her husband’s involvement. Her husband eventually committed suicide.
