A former longtime commissioner for the Borough of West Wildwood has passed away at the age of 72. William Braker served as the Commissioner of Revenue and Finance for the community from 1974 through 1996. Services will be held Friday morning at the First Baptist Church of Wildwood.

William Friedman was caught dumping the diapers in Malaga shortly after 3:00am Sunday. Friedman admitted to dumping the soiled diapers at intersections for the past ten months.

There could be a split on the freeholder board after it barely approved the reappointment of administrator Elizabeth Bozelli. The Board voted 3-2 on the appointment, with freeholders Will Morey and Marie Hayes dissenting. Morey wanted the appointment to be postponed so other options could be explored.
