More details are expected regarding a stabbing in Millville on Saturday that resulted in a man and woman being stabbed, allegedly by their 26 year old son. The stabbing occurred inside a home on Carlton Avenue; the man suffered multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. Police have not. yet identified the suspect.
The new budget agreement in New Jersey means the sales tax will not be going up. The new budget calls for the sales tax to remain the same, at 6.625 percent. Governor Murphy had wanted the sales tax to elevate to seven percent.
State Police are searching for the man who held up a branch of TD Bank in Marmora Saturday afternoon. Police say the man entered the branch and handed a teller a burlap bag with a note demanding money. The man received the bag full of cash, and exited. The branch has since reopened for business.

There’s still no budget deal in New Jersey as of Friday evening. Democrats and Governor Phil Murphy met throughout the day but Murphy rejected all compromise agreements. The Stone Harbor Borough Council will meet Tuesday afternoon and will consider a new ordinance that would result in the elimination of some single use plastics in the community. If approved, the new ordinance would prohibit the distribution of single use plastic bags and other items as of January 1st.
