A two hour lane closure is expected on Ocean City’s 34th Street Bridge Tuesday evening. Pavement reflectors will be installed on the bridge, weather permitting. The closure is expected to begin around 11:00pm.

Accu Weather is calling for a good chance of drenching showers and storms during the early evening hours thanks to an arriving cold front. Daytime highs on Thursday and Friday will struggle to reach 80 degrees.
Some additional casinos in Atlantic City have applied for sports betting permits. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Ceasars, Bally’s, and the Golden Nugget all applied for permits. Two casinos currently offer sports betting, the Borgata and the Ocean Resort.
A 67 year old woman from London had her right ankle impaled by part of an umbrella that broke apart due to wind on a New Jersey beach. Authorities say it happened in Seaside Heights Monday afternoon. A bolt cutter was used to free the woman from the umbrella before transport to a local hospital.
The “Pug Mug” was a big hit in Cape May. Cape May Police posted a photo of a pug dog that was missing over the weekend, and put the dog in a pseudo mug shot. The dog named “Bean” had wandered into a yard. After the photo went viral, “Bean” was returned to its owner…
Rocktane Gas and Wash is now open for business in Atlantic City. The Hard Rock Casino opened up its own gas station and convenience store, which was constructed outside of the parking garage. The new facility will be open 24 hours a day.
23 people were injured when five school busses crashed in Medford Lakes on Monday. Children and adults suffered injuries when the five busses somehow rear ended each other in what appears to be a chain collision. The accident occurred near Tuckerton Road.
Congressman Frank LoBiondo has announced that he has secured just over $2 million in funding for five airports in our region. Among the airports getting funding are the Woodbine Municipal Airport, the Cape May County Airport and the Ocean City Municipal Airport. The funding will be used for various improvements.
Middle Township Police announced that a man reported missing a few days ago has returned safely. Township Police announced Monday that Joseph James has returned home after being reported missing. Police did not issue any further details about this case.
A 23 year old Williamstown man has been arrested by Hamilton Township Police for allegedly stealing four vehicle batteries from trucks that were parked near construction sites. Stephen Hopkins was interviewed by detectives and admitted to stealing the batteries; he was charged with four counts of theft.
