New Jersey has made some big improvements to its traffic congestion website in advance of the July 4th holiday weekend. The website 511NJ.org has been enhanced to be viewable on mobile devices and has upgraded traffic cameras. The site provides real-time updates on traffic congestion issues related to volume, accidents, construction, and other matters.
Cape Counseling Services is now part of a three-company merger that forms a larger behavioral health care organization. The new company is called Acenda Integrated Health. The company will have 56 locations through a ten county region, including Cape May County.
North Wildwood has partnered with a private company to provide the ability to pay for parking via a smart phone. The new service is in place at over 1,200 single and multi vehicle parking spaces throughout the city. 21 year old Jordan Reaves of Pleasantville was shot and killed in Atlantic City Sunday night. Police in the gaming resort responded to a shooting call on North Pennsylvania Avenue, according to the county prosecutor’s office. Reaves himself a suspect in a shooting that occurred three days ago.

Rowan College of South Jersey became an entity on Monday. The new college is a merger of county colleges in Cumberland and Gloucester counties. The Board of Trustees for the new merged college signed the letter of agreement during a ceremony on Monday.
New Jersey’s new ten dollar an hour minimum wage is in effect. The wage went into effect on Monday, and affects approximately 200,000 workers throughout the Garden State. The minimum wage will gradually increase to 15 dollars per hour.
