Middle Township will be hosting a town meeting Tuesday evening. The Township announced that the meeting will focus on new economic opportunities and be held at the local branch campus of Atlantic Cape Community College at 6pm.
A 27 year old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing of another woman at a Bennigan’s Restaurant in Vineland on Saturday. Yolanda Dasilva was charged with aggravated assault and other charges by police. Dasilva is being held in the Cumberland County Jail.
Wildwood Catholic High School star Emily Cimino will continue her career at Lehigh University. Cimino signed a letter of intent on Monday to play softball at Lehigh on a partial scholarship. The Avalon Rescue Squad announced the purchase of a new ambulance that was completely funded through a three-year donation drive. The new ambulance contains state of the art safety features and has been added to the rescue fleet. Mayor Marty Pagliughi thanked the individuals who donated to the purchase of the new ambulance.

New Jersey State Police are looking for two suspects who stole $2,000 worth of allergy medicine and hair products from the CVS Pharmacy in Marmora last Thursday. Police have released photos of the suspects taken from store video cameras; if you have any information on the suspects, contact State Police in Woodbine.
Catholic Church officials announced that all priests who were credibly accused of child sex abuse in the State’s five parishes will all be publicly announced early next year. The dioceses announced they will cooperate with the State’s task force cracking down on these crimes. No specific date has been given.
Lower Township Police re-opened a portion of Bayshore Road in the Villas Monday afternoon after being shut down for a few hours. Coastal Broadcasting Systems learned that the road was closed following a threat that was made by an individual in a motor vehicle. The scene was eventually cleared and the road, re-opened.
