A teenager who went swimming in a lagoon in the Barnegat Bay Saturday night has died. The 15 year old high school sophomore went swimming with friends in Brick and never resurfaced. He was pulled from the water and taken to a local hospital where he died Sunday.
A fire likely caused by lightning has been contained at the Wharton State Forest. The fire started on Sunday and took out nearly 2,000 acres of the forest. Roadways near Hammonton were closed Sunday night due to smoke from the fire, but have since reopened.

Police came into contact with a vehicle parked on East Glenwood Avenue Saturday night and arrested Charles Williams on multiple charges, including Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
