Atlantic City officials are considering raising the toll on the Atlantic City Expressway at the Pleasantville plaza in order to raise some money needed for the city. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Mayor Frank Gilliam Jr. agrees with the proposal for a toll hike, with the city keeping the difference.
39 year old Michael Tedesco has been arraigned on charges that he killed his father by repeatedly stabbing him with steak knives. Gary Tedesco lived in Millville and he was stabbed nine times with multiple knives according to the indictment. Tedesco was in court Monday and pleaded not guilty.
A longtime republican State Senator, Anthony Bucco, has passed away at the age of 81. Bucco suffered a major heart attack on Monday and passed away peacefully. Bucco represented an area of the state that included Morris and Somerset counties, and had served in Trenton since 1998.
The search is on for five year old Dulce Maria Alvarez, a little girl who went missing after being near a city park in Bridgeton. Police say early this morning that Alvarez was still missing. She was wearing brown pants with flowers and a pink long sleeved shirt when she disappeared.
West Cape May could be the latest community to ban single use plastic bags. The Borough Commission met last week and discussed a potential ban on plastic bags in the community. Avalon and Stone Harbor took the lead on the issue this year, and also banned plastic straws and Styrofoam packaging.

Two Atlantic County lawmakers are again urging Governor Murphy to release $4.6 million to Stockton University for enhancements to its campus.
