48 year old Miguel Vargas of Atlantic City has been convicted on three child endangerment counts. Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced that Vargas was arrested nearly four years ago for having three of his four children subjected to years of neglect and abuse.
A 30 year old Pleasantville man was killed early Tuesday morning when his pickup truck collided with a road construction vehicle. City police say Walter Joya lost his life shortly after the accident near New Road. The construction truck was being used on a newly paved portion of the road surface.
