A portion of Bayshore Road in Lower Township will be closed starting Wednesday due to a County road project. The northbound traffic will be closed along Bayshore Road from Town Bank Road to Fishing Creek Road during the paving operations. the work should be completed by the end of the day on Friday.
A section of 34th Street in Ocean City will closed by the County on Monday to allow for milling and paving operations. County officials say the street between West Avenue and Asbury Avenue will be closed Monday and Tuesday, but reopened during the evening hours.

There was a shooting at the American Dream mall in northern New Jersey late Thursday. New Jersey State Police say one male victim was shot at the mall and taken to a regional hospital with serious injuries. Police locked down the mall, but it is expected to reopen today.

American Airlines will have a presence at the Atlantic City International Airport. The Press of Atlantic City reports that customers will be able to check in completely at Atlantic City and then be bused directly to their flights in Philadelphia. The new service starts June 3.
The United States Coast Guard rescued a man who was experiencing a medical emergency off the southern New Jersey coastline Wednesday. The man was airlifted off the “Captain John” about 45 miles off the coast of Point Pleasant. The man was transferred to an area medical facility.
