Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles may have played his last game in the NFL. Sproles is now out for the season with a torn hip flexor muscle. Sproles is 36 years old and many believed this would be his final season.
It’s a very sad day in the local sports community as former Holy Spirit High School football coach Bill Walsh has passed away. Walsh succumbed to Lou Gehrig’s Disease Friday morning at his home in Galloway. Walsh was diagnosed less than three years ago. He coached the Spartans for five seasons, beginning in 2003.
Slavery reparations may be coming to the Garden State. Lawmakers on Thursday introduced new legislation that would create a task force to explore slave reparations. The legislation attempts to “achieve a sense of social and economic justice”.
The owner of the local Icona properties is the new owner of the Beach Theater in Cape May. Eustace Mita bought the theater property at auction for $6.5 million and plans to build a hotel there. The first floor of the proposed hotel is expected to remain retail businesses.

Vineland Police say a 13 year old student has been arrested after he put toilet water into another child’s water bottle, and the child took a sip. The incident took place at the Sgt. Dominick Pilla Middle School. The suspect was processed and turned over to his parents.
