Police in Vineland have recovered the body of a man who has been missing since December 10th. The body of Robert Nicholson IV was found near a retention pond at an apartment complex on East Chestnut Avenue. Police say autopsy results are pending.
Wells Fargo is coughing up $575 million to the State of New Jersey as part of a settlement agreement where the bank conducted improper business practices. Wells Fargo has to pay over a half billion dollars overall to settle the claims. The bank conducted the improper practices for a decade.
Ocean First Bank has sold the Renault Winery in Atlantic County. the bank sold the property to Renault Properties LLC and the new owner says the facility will continue to operate restaurants and banquet facilities. The winery filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection back in 2013 and was purchased by the bank at auction.
Funeral services will be held next Saturday for longtime Wildwood furniture store owner Charles Harvey who died on December 23rd at the age of 76. Harvey was the owner of Charles Harvey Home Furnishings that was founded in 1968. Donations in his memory are being accepted by the Greater Wildwoods Lions Club.

The Boardwalk Basketball Classic resumed in Wildwood Thursday with the Lower Cape May boys basketball team defeating Cristo Rey, Philadelphia, 57-52. In girls’ action, Cape May tech scored a 43-27 win over Atlantic Christian School in afternoon action. The tournament continues through Sunday.
A fire destroyed two homes and damaged a third home in Ocean City during the early morning hours on Thursday. The fire was contained to the 4800 block of Central Avenue. The fire was reported around 3:00am and was fully involved when it was reported. No cause yet of the fire.
Businesses located at the Harbor Village Shopping Center in Egg Harbor Township damaged three businesses late Wednesday night. Authorities say there were no injuries in the fire which may have started in a tanning salon and impacted to adjacent businesses. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
