Atlantic City Electric will be wrapping up a reclosure project in Ocean City this week. City officials announced that there may be power interruptions Monday at 41st Street and Central Avenue as the project comes to a conclusion. It is intended to reduce the number of people affected by power outages.
Wildwood Crest is attempting to alleviate some ponding conditions that appear on a section of its beach after heavy rain events. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority reports that the center is simply not used as visitors get information from the internet and other sources. The center has been in existence for 20 years.
34 year old Johnny Morgan of Camden has been sentenced to 15 years behind bars for killing another man in Atlantic City by punching him. 53 year old Andrew McGarrigel died in 2017 as a result of the injuries he sustained on North Virginia Avenue. McGarrigel received one punch to the head that killed him.
Mainland Regional High School will host the 8th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer baseball showcase weekend, starting this evening, weather permitting. Many regional teams, including Ocean City, Millville, and Mainland, will participate in the event with nine games being played through Sunday.
One man was killed in a crash between a minivan and a tractor trailer on County Road 661 in Cumberland County on Tuesday. State Police say 31 year old Loeub Mak of Essington, PA was killed; he was a passenger in the minivan. Five others were injured but are expected to survive.

A 56 year old Ocean City man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Route 9 in Seaville Wednesday evening. State Police say Dennis Noble lost his life when his motorcycle struck a utility pole at milepost 22.5 on Route 9. Weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident.
Ocean County’s top GOP power broker George Gilmore is out. Gilmore has resigned as the chairman of the republican party in that county due to his recent conviction on federal tax crimes. Gilmore is 70 years old and has been one of the state’s leading republicans for decades.
