Gerry Thornton is now a part of the New Jersey Association of Counties Hall of Fame. Thornton began his service to the freeholder board back in 1976 and absent an eight year break, has been serving ever since. Thornton is also an 11 year veteran of the United States Air Force.
19 adults were rounded up for not paying past child support in Atlantic County. Authorities say the roundup began on Tuesday and many of the suspects wound up in jail rather than paying up on their child support.

Free Jitney service is coming to Cape May the summer. The new Jitney service will replace the former trolley service that was provided in the city. The Jitneys will start running at 2:00pm. Three people were shot in Millville early Wednesday morning, and the shooter remains at large. Police say three people suffered gunshot wounds during an early morning shooting on West Foundry Street. All three victims were released from various hospitals.
