State regulators have selected Orsted to operate a major wind farm in the ocean off the coast of southern New Jersey. The state will provide a $1.6 billion subsidy to the operation that will be paid by consumers over two decades. There will be a surcharge on energy bills to help pay for the project.

A 15 year old boy from Atlantic City has been criminally charged with shooting a 16 year old boy during a dispute last weekend. The shooting took place last Saturday night on Arctic Avenue. The teen has been charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses.
