Lower Township Police are searching for 13 year old Le’Shaun Davis, who has been reported missing by his mother. Davis was last seen in front of the Wildwood Recreation Center Saturday at approximately 8pm. Wildwood Crest Police Captain Robert Lloyd recently completed the 277th session of the FBI National Academy in Virginia. Crest Police Chief Joseph McGrath says this will provide a benefit to the department for years to come. Lloyd finished second in a one-mile run.

People are back to work in New Jersey. The state’s latest unemployment rate is at an all time record low of 3.2 percent, which is a half percent lower than the national rate. There are over 4.2 million full time jobs in New Jersey.
A candlelight vigil is being held Saturday night in Bridgeton at the park where a five year old girl went missing. There’s still no sign as of Saturday morning of Dulce Maria Alavez, who disappeared in what authorities are calling a possible abduction. The vigil will be held at City Park.
A man from Atlantic County has contracted Eastern Equine Encephalitis. The disease is most commonly transmitted in swampy areas from mosquitos and can kill a horse. Authorities say anyone who gets a mosquito bite should seek medical assistance.
Single use plastic bags will soon be banned in Somers Point. The governing body approved a measure that would ban these bags, which have also been banned in Avalon and Stone Harbor. There is a four month grace period for retailers to get rid of their inventory of bags.
39 year old Jermaine McNeal of Cape May Court House has been arrested for his participation in a fight at a youth football game earlier this month at the Davies Sports Complex. It was no contest Friday night as Buena took care of Middle Township at Memorial Field in Cape May Court House, 32-0. Five different players scored touchdowns for the Chiefs, who improved to 2-1 on the season. It was Middle’s first loss of the season. In other action, Pleasantville routed Lower Cape May, 45-6.
