A 55 year old woman from North Cape May was arrested Wednesday night and charged with a drunk driving offense after her pickup truck struck a bicyclist. Police say Sun O. Payne was charged after officers found her pickup a short distance from the accident scene; the accident occurred at Bayshore and Fulling Mill roads.
Woodbine will be hosting a solar farm on a local landfill. Borough officials announced that a letter of intent has been signed that will result in the solar farm and a new revenue stream for Woodbine. The project is being developed by Nexamp.

Five puppies who are in need of medical care were found dumped along the side of a road in Cumberland County. The South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter is caring for the puppies and has raised over $4,800 to help defray medical costs. They have already been treated by a vet.
Caesars Entertainment is ready to open two large sports betting facilities in Atlantic City, including the largest in the city. Harrah’s Resort and Bally’s Atlantic City Wild West will both have large sports betting facilities before the heart of the summer season. Former Cape May County New Jersey Highway Authority Commissioner Jerry Licata has died at the age of 70. Licata was a well known builder in Middle Township who was active in the business and local sports communities. Licata passed away yesterday; services will be held on Saturday at the Radzieta Funeral Home.
