Cape May County reported 28 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday. Half of the communities in the County have fewer then ten community cases of the virus. The County Health Department administered 143 vaccines on Monday.
The Cape May Taxpayers Association is imploring City Council not to allow for open containers and public drinking in public spaces. The Association has issued a press release stating that it is staunchly opposed to this practice.
Sports betting continues to carry gaming halls in Atlantic City. February gaming numbers have been released and they show the casinos taking in 80 percent more in sports betting revenue than they did one year ago. Traditional gaming revenue was up by less than one percent.
New Jersey has confirmed an additional 41 deaths from coronavirus on Tuesday. State officials say there were 3,141 new cases of the virus reported on Tuesday. Nearly two million doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine have been administered to state residents.
The Wildwood Crest Commission meets Wednesday morning largely with routine business on its agenda. The Commission is expected to address an ordinance that regulates the parking of golf carts and motorcycles. The Greater Wildwood Jaycees have cancelled its Easter Egg Hunt for the spring. The Jaycees made the announcement on their social media page, citing various Covid-19 restrictions that remain in effect in New Jersey.

About 1,000 coronavirus vaccines are given every day in Cape May County. County officials say there have been over 45,000 does administered in the Cape since vaccines became available. There were 30 new cases of coronavirus reported Monday.
