Former North Wildwood city councilman Bill Turbett has died at the age of 81. Turbett passed away on May 8th; a celebration of his life will be held at the Anglesea Volunteer Fire Company on June 29th.
Two pedestrians were struck by a car Friday evening in Ocean City at 8th Street and Bay Avenue. City police say both victims were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. An investigation into the accident continues.
Three people were arrested in Wildwood Friday morning after they were found to be in possession of illegal drugs, and a gun with hollow point bullets. The three individuals are all from Pennsylvania and were found sleeping in a car on Susquehanna Avenue. Two of the three were released on a summons.
Three people were injured Friday night when a boat hit a navigational marker in the Barnegat Bay. State Police say the injuries were minor and not life threatening. A fourth passenger on the boat was not injured.

There was a structure fire at a unit of the Hideaway Beach Condo and Campground in Dias Creek Thursday night. Fire companies responded to the blaze that heavily damaged a unit and may have started in a refrigerator. The call came in shortly after 10pm Thursday.
