A brush fire that consumed dozen of acres of woods near the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County closed a section of the Parkway to motorists. Homes and businesses along the Parkway in Lakewood were evacuated as the quick moving fire hit the region. One office building suffered significant damage.
Cape May County added only 18 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday. County officials say half of those cases were in Lower Township. There are fewer than 300 active community cases in the Cape.

One person is dead following a motorcycle accident in Cumberland County Saturday morning. Police say it happened in Lawrence Township, and closed the roadway for three hours. The bike went off a road and struck a tree.
