Authorities in Brick Township were called to a home after a 15 year old boy nearly drowned in the Barnegat Bay on Saturday. The boy was found unconscious and unresponsive after being pulled from the water. He had been swimming in a lagoon before being rescued.

Some no parking restrictions are in place tonight and tomorrow in North Wildwood. On Friday, there is no parking starting at 8pm along Olde New Jersey Avenue from First Avenue to Spruce Avenue. Another restriction goes into effect in that area Saturday, starting at 1pm. It’s all part of Mummers’ Weekend.
The Philadelphia Eagles are all in on quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz signed a four year contract extension worth a reported $128 million, with over $107 million in guaranteed money. This locked up Wentz in Eagles green through the 2024 season.
Avalon has wrapped up the administration of a $30,000 state grant by planting 89 new trees in the community. The trees were planted at various locations courtesy of a grant from the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. The Borough says the effort included volunteers and professionals.
A plea bargain offer is put on hold for now in the case of Michael N. Tedesco. Tedesco is accused of killing his father in April at the family home on Carlton Avenue. A pre-indictment conference was held on Thursday.
New Jersey State Police are investigating an accident between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle on Route 47 in Dennis Township Wednesday evening. The highway was shut down as emergency medical services attended to the victim. The names of the driver and the victim have not been released.

Atlantic City is getting a new state monitor, and a new business administrator. The Press of Atlantic City reports that both Rick Richardella and Jason Holt are departing their respective positions. Holt stays on until an interim administrator is identified.
Governor Phil Murphy is headed to Iowa next week to campaign for presidential candidate Cory Booker. Murphy came out early with his support for Booker; he will appear next Tuesday at a campaign event. Iowa is the state that traditionally picks the presidential candidates.
