Security deposits paid by renters can now be used to pay back rent, or current rent. Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order to allow that practice to occur in advance of a May 1st date for rent being due. The security deposit can be used to cover shortages, or to pay in full.

Gasoline prices are now averaging $2.01 per gallon in Cape May County. Mid Atlantic AAA reports that our prices are 81 cents per gallon cheaper than they were one year ago. The national average has tumbled to $1.78 per gallon.
