A 34 year old man who killed his pregnant girlfriend in her Vineland home will serve at least 17 years behind bars. Daniel J. Brennan received the prison sentence for killing 24 year old Courtney Allen. Brennan also copped a plea in another case where he murdered another woman.
A 55 year old Cumberland County man was shot to death last week, and police continue to search for a suspect. Authorities say Frank Najee-Ullah was shot to death early Thursday morning in Fairfield Township. Anyone with information regarding the slaying is asked to contact State Police.

New Jersey state government offices will be closing at 12 Noon today. Governor Murphy declared that the offices will close at Noon so employees can get home before the second round of the winter storm hits. Essential employees will remain on the job until the close of business today.

The Cape May City council is holding a special meeting Tuesday afternoon to discuss lawsuits, and positions in government. Council is expected to meet in closed session to discuss filling the positions of city manager and court administrator, and to discuss litigation, including one involving the Sewell Tract. The meeting begins Tuesday at 2:00pm.
