LOWER TOWNSHIP: CONRAD BEATS PITTS

Lower Township’s hotly contested council race in the First Ward goes to Councilman Tom Conrad.  Conrad beat Janet Pitts in a big election, 790-570.  Joseph Will finished a distant third.  Conrad retains his seat on the Lower Township Council.  Also winning in Lower Township in uncontested races were Glenn Douglass and Erik Simonsen.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP: DELANZO BEATS VOLL

Sue DeLanzo is the winner in Middle Township.  She defeated former mayor Mike Voll by about 400 votes during the Tuesday night election.  DeLanzo told Coastal Broadcasting Systems that she was very honored to be retained on the township committee.  Voll congratulated DeLanzo on the win.
