There are five new cases of coronavirus reported in Cape May County. County health officials announced that all five were resident cases, and on the cusp of Labor Day weekend, none were non-resident cases. This county is now down to 55 resident cases of the virus.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Cape May County Thursday until 10:00pm. A cold front will move across our region this evening and will spark numerous heavy thunderstorms in southern New Jersey. Conditions may favor the development of tornadoes.
A man has been arrested for exposing himself to multiple women on the beaches of Wildwood Crest. Wildwood Crest Police announced the arrest of 62 year old Scott Macauley of Metuchen who was charged with lewdness. He was released on his own recognizance.

A 97 year old woman from Middle Township has succumbed to coronavirus. Her death was outlined in Wednesday’s report which shows 12 new resident cases with seven of them being in Lower and Middle townships. There are five communities in the Cape that have zero resident cases of the virus.
The words “Black Lives Matter” will be painted on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Friday, in front of the city’s civil rights garden. Mayor Marty Small announced that local artists will paint the large lettering on the street. Another protest may be held in Atlantic City later this week as well.
