New Jersey will release at least 2,000 inmates from prison starting the day after election day. Governor Murphy signed bills that would allow the inmates to be released, alleging fears about coronavirus in prisons. A 90 year old man from Sea Isle City has died as a result of coronavirus. County health officials released their new figures Monday which show nine additional cases of the virus. Two new cases are in both Upper and Middle townships.
Upper Township Committeman Hobie Young has resigned. Young resigned Monday after he posted memes on social media that showed vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris in in sexually suggestive poses; those images had been altered. A portion of Stagecoach Road in Upper Township will be repaved Tuesday by South Jersey Gas. Upper Township’s social media page reports that the section of road is located between Roosevelt Boulevard and Katherine Avenue. Traffic will be detoured during the project.
