29 year old Michael Lamond Jr. of Williamstown lost his life early Sunday morning when a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on the Atlantic City Expressway collided with his car. County officials will try again to pave the intersection of Woodbine Oceanview Road and Corson Tavern Road on Monday night. Some light rain last week delayed this project until Monday night. The intersection will be closed starting at 8:00pm Monday to allow the resurfacing work to take place.
60 year old John Carroll of Belmar was struck and killed by a passing car as he stood on the shoulder of the Garden State Parkway in Holmdel. New Jersey State Police say the accident occurred Friday night near milepost 115.9. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the accident.
Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Paul Porreca has died at the age of 85. The Millville resident passed away last month and his passing was announced this week. Porreca served two terms on the Millville City Commission and previously ran for Congress, and for a seat in the New Jersey State Senate.
