Cape May County is announcing 58 new cases of coronavirus. The county reports 16 of those cases are in Middle Township. Lower Township continues to have the most cases, now standing at 120.

North Wildwood will be holding its tree lighting ceremony Friday at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. The ceremony takes place at 4:30pm, and masks are required for attendance. The Greater Wildwoods Jaycees will be holding its annual Christmas parade after the tree lighting, starting at 6:30pm.
Cape May County ranks third in the state for the number of school-related outbreaks of coronavirus. New figures released by the state show two new outbreaks in the past week, putting the total number of school outbreaks in our area at seven. Camden County leads the state with ten.
A paving project on Town Bank Road in North Cape May will cause some delays, according to Lower Township Police. Police say traffic will be reduced to one lane at times, with work resuming tomorrow and continuing on weekdays until next Monday.
28 year old Devon Hill of Egg Harbor Township has been charged with the fatal shooting of 54 year old Rennel Turner in November. The shooting took place on November 21st at a home located on Cedar Avenue. Turner was from Atlantic City, and he died at the scene.

Wildwood Crest is hosting a second holiday food drive. Crest officials say the food drive held this month will result in help for the Lazarus House Food Pantry in Wildwood prior to Christmas Day. Items needed include non-perishable food, nutritious, healthy or canned dry foods.
