MILL RD. REOPENED AFTER STORM DAMAGE

Mill Rd. in Upper Township has been reopened. Cape May County Engineer Dale Foster made the announcement on Friday. FORMER MAYOR TO SERVE AS SUB IN VENTNOR

A replacement has been named on the Ventnor City Council. The Press of Atlantic City reports that council is naming former mayor Ted Bergman to fill a void after Commissioner Stephen Weintrob stepped down. A special election is being held in November to fill the vacancy formally. Weintrob will serve the position until that time.

WIDENING OF PARKWAY WILL CONTINUE

More expansion is coming to the Garden State Parkway. The state was approved a widening project from mileposts 63 and 48. The widening project will put the Parkway at three lanes in both directions.
