VINELAND FINDS NEW SUPERINTENDENT FOR SCHOOLS

A Cumberland County Freeholder is now a superintendent as well. Dr. Mary Gruccio was selected to become the Superintendent of the Vineland Public School district. As Superintendent, Dr. Gruccio will oversee a system of 19 schools, approx.2000 teachers and non-teacher professionals, and a yearly budget of $196 million.  Vineland schools educate 11,000 children yearly. The deal lasts until 2015.

PLEASANTVILLE MAN STABS HIS BROTHER

Brothers often get into fights, but an altercation turned violent Wednesday morning in Pleasantville. Police report that a stabbing occurred in the 300 block of Oakland Avenue around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, as 25 year-old Harold Dejesus-Rodriguez stabbed his brother, Allan Diaz, multiple times in the neck, shoulder and arm after a physical altercation.
