Cape May County Prosecutor Jeff Sutherland made a clarification over the weekend regarding campground closures from Covid-19. Sutherland says the only exception to the closures are where people have year round leases and use the campground as their primary residence, or where people actually own their campsite, and have a deed to the campsite.
New Jersey Attorney General Gubir Grewal says gyms around New Jersey may have to offer customers a credit, or a refund. Grewal announced over the weekend that the gyms may have to offer the credits or refunds if they are closed for 30 days or more. This does not cover yoga or dance studios.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy predicts “historic” layoffs of state employees unless the federal government sends New Jersey billions of dollars. Murphy says the layoffs would be felt at the state, county, and local levels. He says too many federal lawmakers do not understand the need for federal aid to come to the states.
