Atlantic City Police say a woman threatened to kill a retail store clerk with a knife on Tuesday. Police arrested 28 year old Octavia Watson on charges she threatened to kill the clerk at Ocean Body Oil on Atlantic Avenue. Watson was disarmed after being talked down by police.
New Jersey reported only 2,021 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, the lowest single day number of new cases in a long time. 52 additional deaths were reported. The rate of transmission continues under one, which means the spread of the virus is slowing in the Garden State.
The state appears ready to slightly increase indoor capacity limits, and eliminate the 10pm closing time for bars and restaurants. There are two additional deaths from coronavirus in Cape May County. A 69 year old woman from Middle Township and a 78 year old man from Wildwood have succumbed to the virus. There were 38 new positive cases reported on Tuesday.

Governor Phil Murphy announced Tuesday that the State has provided over 824,000 vaccines for coronavirus. Murphy also announced that there are 71 new confirmed deaths from the virus, and 2,811 new positive cases. The number of daily cases has been trending down in recent days.
Boys and girls basketball games featuring Wildwood High School and Salem are being moved from Tuesday to Saturday. There is still considerable snowfall in the Salem area which has postponed these games for a second time, according to CoastSportsToday.com’s Brian Cunniff.
