E-A-G-L-E-S PRESEASON SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

The Chip Kelly era begins in Philadelphia against the New England Patriots.  The NFL released its preseason schedule and announced that the Eagles will open the four-game preseason with games against the Patriots and Panthers, then have two road games against the Jaguars and the Jets.  The regular season schedule comes out in 11 days.

SON OF PHIL MARTELLI OUT AT RUTGERS

The son of Philadelphia coaching legend Phil Martelli has resigned his basketball coaching job at Rutgers University.  Jimmy Martelli served as an assistant coach under Mike Rice; Rice was canned this week after a video showed him assaulting and berating players.  Martelli had been coaching at Rutgers for three years.
