West Cape May’s Borough Commission meets Wednesday and will formally accept the resignation of Clerk Suzanne Schumann. Schumann is moving to another position in Middle Township. During Wednesday’s meeting the Commission will formally introduce the new 2021 budget. West Cape May’s meeting starts at 7:00pm.
Cape May County reported only 13 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. There is one additional death to report, an 84 year old man from Lower Township. The Cape has lost 200 residents to the virus. Avalon, Cape May Point, Stone Harbor, and West Wildwood have zero cases of the virus.
New Jersey is keeping all 12 of its congressional seats. The latest United States Census puts the population of the Garden State at 9.2 million people, good enough for New Jersey to retain its seats. New Jersey’s population grew by six percent over the past ten years.
