There are eight new resident cases of coronavirus in Cape May County. County officials released the latest data Thursday afternoon that show three new cases in Middle Township, and two new cases in Cape May. There are 73 resident cases in the Cape.
The New Jersey Senate approved a measure Thursday that establishes an official Harriet Tubman Museum in Cape May. It will be located at the historic Howell House in the city. All the designation needs is a signature from Governor Phil Murphy.
Two new capybaras have been added to the Cape May County Zoo. County officials announced that one came from the Cleveland Metropark Zoo, while the second arrived from a zoo in Kansas. Capybaras are one of the largest and longest-living rodents in the world. They are native to South America.

Fabiana Pierre-Louis has been confirmed by the New Jersey Senate to join the New Jersey Supreme Court. The Senate approved the confirmation Thursday. She will be the youngest member of the court at 39 years old. Members of both political parties supported her nomination unanimously.
