Delaware’s Delaware Bay coastline has been impacted this week by globs of oil that have come ashore. The United States Coast Guard reported that an incident command has been established as oil has washed up from Cape Henlopen to Fowler Beach. There are 75 contractors reponding. Cape May County reported nine new cases of coronavirus Wednesday. Four of the nine cases are in Lower Township. There are only three non-resident active cases in the County.
Cape May County held a Regional Urban Search and Rescue exercise on Monday. The RUST, as it is more commonly known, was a final evaluation for students as part of their training. County freeholders attended the event to learn more about the exercises.
