Just over 20 “Cash for Gold” operations were hit with charges for their business practices. All the businesses were located in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex and Union counties. The investigation was led by the Division of Consumer Affairs. There were 936 civil citations for illegal operations by those businesses.
