A portion of Church Road in Upper Township will be closed, with detours in place, to repair some railroad crossings. The area of the crossings will be closed to traffic starting Wednesday and will last through July 16th. Traffic will be closed in that area with detours in place.

Lower Township officials will vote on an ordinance Tuesday evening that would permit cannabis retail licenses and delivery licenses in the community. The licenses would be restricted to the GB-1 and Industrial Zoning districts. Annual fees for the licenses will also be set.
Cape May’s city council meets Tuesday and is expected to approve an ordinance that will eliminate smoking along the Washington Street Mall. Several towns have enacted anti smoking ordinances as a means to get marijuana out of public areas. Council will also award a contract for transportation services to Sea Isle City Transit, LLC.
Middle Township will not be allowing any recreational cannabis licenses in the near future. The Township Committee meets Wednesday and is expected to approve an ordinance that would prohibit cannabis licenses. Township officials say the complexities of the State legislation leave too many questions for the Township to proceed at this time.
Governor Phil Murphy has pledged $4 million to fix the famous Wildwood boardwalk. Murphy came to the city over the holiday weekend and walked the boardwalk with Mayor Pete Byron.
