AtlantiCare has suspended visitation to all of its hospitals citing an increase in Covid-19. The health system posted on its social media page that the suspension is temporary, and also impacts the Satellite Emergency Department. Updated visitation guidelines are posted.
One of the most anticipated high school football games in the local season will not be played Friday, and has been moved because of coronavirus concerns. The game between Holy Spirit and St. Augustine has been moved to October 29th. The game was to be played this week.

A 55 year old Pennsylvania woman has been charged with killing her elderly father and her father’s girlfriend inside their beach home on Long Beach Island Sunday. Authorities say Sherry Lee Heffernan allegedly stabbed her father and the woman to death. She’s been charged with two counts of murder and weapons offenses.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a new bill into law that prohibits anyone aged 70 or older from being squeezed out of their jobs due to age. Murphy held a virtual bill signing of the new law on Tuesday.
