Atlantic City Police are continuing their investigation into the assault of City Councilman Hossain Morshed. Morshed was assaulted on July 15th at Flroida and Atlantic avenues. He was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are asking for the public’s help with solving this crime.
Police in Wildwood Crest charged 30 year old Megan E. McDevitt with burglary, theft and other offenses after receiving a report of suspicious activity in the 7100 block of Seaview Avenue. Police say McDevitt stole some personal belongings of other individuals. McDevitt also struggled with police as she attempted to discard hypodermic syringes.
A 51 year old man from Brick was critically injured when he was struck by a car in Wildwood Saturday morning. Police say the accident took place at Davis and New Jersey avenues in the city. The victim was airlifted to AtlantiCare Medical Center. Traffic was closed for approximately three hours as police investigated.

Avalon’s Borough Council has approved an emergency dredging project for a portion of Pennsylvania Harbor. An accumulation of hard, sandy dredge material has formed on the westerly limits of the harbor, making navigation difficult. A Notice of Award was provided to the contractor today.
