North Wildwood officials recognized the top leadership of the city’s police department in advance of their retirements. Mayor Patrick Rosenello recognized Chief Matthew Gallagher and Deputy Chief Kevin Tolan during a ceremony. Both are retiring at the end of June.

Lower Township Police have charged a 38 year old Levittown man on charges that he was in possession of a firearm at Higbee’s Beach over the weekend. Nelson P. Delisa was hit with multiple offenses, including possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. A firearm and a hatchet were both retrieved by police.

Vineland Police have announced an arrest in connection with a shooting at the Cumberland Mall last week. Police have not identified the individual who is responsible for shooting a 28 year old man multiple times in the parking lot. The victim survived the shooting.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that no one will have their utilities shut off through the end of the year. Murphy says the moratorium on utility shutoffs will end officially on July 1st; however, those who have not paid their utility bills will have to work out payment plans with their utility companies.
The Upper Township Committee is scheduled to adopt its 2021 municipal budget during a meeting tonight. The Committee will also renew various alcohol licenses in the community, and plans to dredge the area near the Beesley’s Point Park boat ramp. The meeting begins at 7:30pm.
