On Tuesday afternoon a brush fire burned 95 acres in Winslow Township, Camden County. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service fought the blaze on Piney Hollow Road near Banger’s Gun Club. Ocean City may try to purchase the site of a former BP Gasoline station. Council has negotiated a purchase price just shy of a half million dollars for the property which sits near the Route 52 causeway. There are currently three closed gasoline stations on the Ninth Street corridor in the resort.

Atlantic City Councilman Kaleem Shabazz says it’s time to cut Council’s salary by 20 percent. Shabazz issued a press release saying that members of Council, the municipal clerk, and the solicitor should all take 20 percent off their salaries.
