The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is opposing a new plan to have a $15 minimum wage in New Jersey. Business leaders discussed how the new wage will negatively affect seasonal businesses at the Jersey Shore. The higher minimum wage is considered to be benchmark legislation for democrats in Trenton.
No tax increase for Cape May this year. City Council approved a new $17 million budget that applies just over $2.1 million in surplus to fund the spending plan.
