Who is helping President Trump prepare for Tuesday night’s debate against Joe Biden? None other than former New Jersey governor Chris Christie. Christie confirmed that he’s helping Biden prepare for the debate which will be held Tuesday at 9:00pm. Christie helped prep the President for his debates against Hillary Clinton four years ago.
There were two new cases of coronavirus reported in Cape May County Sunday. One case apiece was reported in Wildwood, and in Ocean City. There are only two non-resident active cases in our area. Middle Township leads the way with 22 cases.

More than 60 Atlantic City firefighters were exposed to coronavirus, and the union is not happy. Various media reports over the weekend say the union has filed a complaint against the city for not having proper procedures to prevent the exposure. Six firefighters tested positive for Covid-19 according to NJ.com.
Ocean City is planning for a new public safety building. Mayor Jay Gillian says the current building holding the police department is a century old. A public town meeting will be held this fall to discuss plans for the new building.
A 73 year old Sea Isle City man has died from coronavirus. County officials released new Covid-19 figures on Saturday and report two new positive cases. Seven of the 16 communities in Cape May County have one, or zero, cases of the virus in residents.
New Jersey’s Public Health Emergency, and State of Emergency, will continue for up to another 30 days. Governor Murphy announced Friday that he is extending both and pointed out that if he does not extend the public health emergency, it expires.

A new measure drafted by State Senator Michael Testa would allow hair salons and barbers to have mobile facilities to bring their talents to a home or business.
