Cape May County’s coronavirus numbers are sinking fast. The latest figures released by the Department of Health place only 179 cases of the virus in the County, a far cry from earlier this winter when the case load was higher than 2,300 active cases. Half of the County’s cases remain in Lower and Middle townships.

20 year old Divine Jones of Wildwood has been charged with committing a sexual assault against a minor. City police say the man has been connected to the assault, and has been charged with multiple crimes. Jones works as a cook at a local restaurant. He has been incarcerated at the Cape May County Jail.
Two Capybara pups have been born at the Cape May County Zoo. County officials announced that the pups were born on February 3rd and will remain indoors with their parents until warmer spring weather arrives. The Capybara is the world’s largest living rodent.
