A 48 year old Vineland man lost his life over the weekend when his dirt bike collided with a pickup truck. Police say the fatal accident took place on Delsea Drive Saturday evening; the bike did not have a headlight. The victim was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
52 year old Robert L. Petrosh Jr. of Mays Landing has admitted that he stole two microphones from the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the Capitol riot 13 months ago. NJ.com reports that Petrosh will be sentenced next month for the crime. The microphones reportedly have a combined value of less than $500.
Cape May County now has about ten percent of the Covid-19 cases than it had several weeks ago. No injuries are reported following a house fire in Wildwood Sunday morning. City firefighters say the blaze started at a home in the 100 block of Davis Avenue. 34 year old Joshua Hannah of Somers Point was found shot to death in the Somers Point Village apartment complex. Atlantic County prosecutors say police responded to a call about a shooting and announced Hannah died from his injuries at a local hospital. As of Friday night, the killer remained at large.
Former Bridgeton police officer Luis A. Santiago cost his city $100,000 in settlement money. A waitress in a local restaurant alleged that Santiago would make repeated sexual advances and comments towards the waitress and Santiago allegedly touched her body. Santiago was eventually arrested and suspended from the police force.
