A new fire prevention trailer has been rolled out in North Wildwood. The city used USDA funding and private donations for the purchase of the trailer with no costs absorbed by taxpayers. Mayor Patrick Rosenello says he’s very appreciative of the USDA’s efforts in providing financing for this public safety initiative. ##
34 year old Laura Day of Mays Landing has succumbed to her injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident last Friday. Hamilton Township Police say Day passed away Wednesday. Her vehicle struck a utility pole on Old Egg Harbor Road last week. ##

Avalon’s Borough Council met Wednesday afternoon and approved the application of a State grant to plant trees throughout the community. Avalon could be awarded up to $30,000 for various tree planting initiatives. Council also announced that more than 700,000 cubic yards of sand has been placed during the current beach fill project. ##
Coast Guard cutter “Tamaroa” is now part of the artificial reef system near Cape May. The aged ship was intentionally sunk on Wednesday 26 nautical miles southeast of Cape May. The vessel was immortalized in the book and movie “Perfect Storm”. ##

Middle Township Police are actively seeking individuals who purchased kerosene from April 24th through May 10th from the Riggins Gas Station located on Route 9 in Cape May Court House.
