A star student athlete at Middle Township High School will continue his sports career at Gettysburg by playing two sports. The Gazette Leader reports that Matt Harris will play both football and baseball at Gettysburg, which was the only school to allow Harris to pursue both sports in college. ##

A 50 year old Atlantic City woman admitted to authorities that she stole $18,000 in welfare benefits that she was not entitled to. Evonda Valentine pleaded guilty this week to a charge of theft by deception; she will be sentenced in May and forced to pay restitution. ##

There have been five suicides at the Cumberland County Jail over the past 30 months; now, the feds are investigating. NJ.com reports that the United States Department of Justice will be investigating the suicides that began in 2014; there was a fifth suicide at the jail two months ago. ##

Payless confirmed today that the Court House location is closing while others in our region are staying open.
