The Borgata Hotel Casino will be getting $80 million from Atlantic City. City Council voted unanimously on Wednesday on a bond ordinance that will settle a tax appeal with The Borgata that includes a $72 million tax settlement. ##
Atlantic City Police say 20 year old Laquea Boggs of Pleasantville turned himself in this week in connection with a shooting investigation. Boggs is charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly got into a gunfight with another man on March 9th; the other participant was wounded. ##
The body of a male was found in the water near Barbers Basin Marina in Salem County Wednesday afternoon. NJ.com reports that an employee at the marina spotted the body and called authorities. No word yet on an age or identification of the body; the cause of death is unknown. ##
The Avalon Borough Council met Wednesday evening and discussed a major redevelopment of an existing park located next to Community Hall. Lower Township Police have charged a 56 year old woman with fighting with police while cops were busting her for selling prescription drugs. Nancy E. Ricci violently resisted arrest when she was apprehended on March 31st. Ricci has been released on a summons, pending her court date. ##

The United States Coast Guard ship that was featured as a rescue vessel in the movie “The Perfect Storm” will be sunk about 60 miles off the coast of Cape May. The “Tamaroa” is 74 years old, and has been cleared to be sunk as part of an artificial reef system that includes other vessels.…
Ocean City’s 34th Street Bridge will close completely Thursday night, and again next week. Concrete needs to be poured for repairs on the bridge. It will be shut down Thursday to Friday from 10pm to 5am, and again next Monday to Tuesday during the same time period. ##
