Vineland Police have charged a 21 year old Bridgeton man with assault by auto following an accident on April 9th. Francisco Bautista-Bautista was driving her car twice over the legal drinking limit when he crashed into a vehicle operated by 40 year old Joseph Grassi near the Route 55 overpass. ##
The Middle Township Committee has approved a new municipal budget that increases the local purpose tax. The Committee voted 2-1 Monday night on the new spending plan that results in some salary increases to key personnel who work for the Township. ##
Crews are on the scene of a major traffic accident on the Atlantic City Expressway Tuesday. A Federal Express truck and three vehicles were involved in an accident in the eastbound lanes of the Expressway near milepost 34. No word yet on any injuries. ##

A Lidl grocery store has been approved for a site in Egg Harbor Township. The Township’s planning board met Monday night and approved the new store to be located at the site of the Track Hebrew Academy. Construction will begin early next year. ##
Bridgeton Police are investigating the cause of a house fire over the weekend. Police responded to a burglar alarm call at a home on Colfax Street; when they arrived, the unoccupied house was up in flames. No suspects are in custody. ##
