Tuition is going up this year at Rutgers University. School officials announced a 1.85 percent increase in tuition this year, putting the average bill at $14,638. Rutgers is also increasing fees charged for room and board. ##
A 27 year old Atlantic City man faces up to 20 years in prison after copping a plea deal in connection with a homicide case. Omar Curry pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in connection with the killing of 32 year old Nelson Rivera back in 2014. ##
38 year old Jason Wagner of the Villas has been charged with DWI and drug offenses after his motor vehicle struck a mailbox and a tree on East Pacific Avenue. Wagner was unconscious after the accident and needed emergency medical care from the local rescue squad. He was issued four motor vehicle summonses. ##
Middle Township will be spending some money to repave some streets. The Middle Township Gazette reports that the Township has prioritized some of the streets that need work including Hand Avenue, Gibbs Street, Beaver Dam Road, and others. Work on Hand Avenue could begin after summer. ##

South Jersey Gas will kick off a major construction project next week in Lower Township. The utility will be installing two inch plastic gas mains on major roads including Shore Drive, Beach Drive, Whittier Avenue, and other streets. The project is expected to conclude in December. ##
A 75 year old man from Somers Point was killed early Tuesday morning in a motor vehicle accident in Egg Harbor Township. Police say Robert M. Woods lost his life when his vehicle left Schoolhouse Road and struck a tree without braking. ##
